Virya was born in 2023 from a refusal to follow established paths. Founded by guitarist Wojciech Bator and drummer Jakub Dąbrowski, the band set out to dismantle genre boundaries — fusing the ferocity of modern metalcore with unexpected influences that reach far beyond metal. Technical precision, raw emotion, and relentless energy define the sound. Architects, Tesseract, and Twelve Foot Ninja may come to mind, but Virya carves its own path.
The current chapter of Virya is carried by vocalist Marcin Janusiński, guitarist Wojciech Bator, drummer Jakub Dąbrowski and bassist Lubomyr Kosakovsky. The lineup keeps the band focused on a live-first sound: precise, heavy and built to hit with real physical energy on stage.
